The online CPD course will provide an overview of the VAT position and rules which now apply to cross border transactions with mainland UK and Northern Ireland with effective from 1 January 2021. This includes the new arrangements for cross border trade in goods and supply of services between Ireland and mainland UK / Northern Ireland, simplifications measures which can apply, reporting obligations and highlighted key practical considerations to be borne in mind in the context of trade with mainland UK and Northern Ireland in a post-Brexit environment.

Prior to joining RBK, Patrick trained with KPMG and has over six years of experience in tax roles with large multinational business. As a result, Patrick has a wide range of expertise in dealing with practical tax issues facing businesses.

Patrick also advises clients in the areas of capital taxes, business successions, and corporate structuring, as well as international tax matters.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Commerce & French (Honours) and Master of Accounting from NUI, Galway.
