1. Audit Quality

In recent months, perhaps even for more than a year, the discussion about audit quality has intensified. Many professionals agree that the Code of Ethics, applicable for all professional, provides valuable guidance to address these quality concerns.

2. Understanding the Code

The Code of Ethics requires compliance by professionals in all its details. Human conduct is guided by ethics and we are required to do ‘the right thing’, in our daily lives. Towards the latter part of Uli’s career in auditing as senior partner in one of the international professional services firms in Johannesburg, he obtained a master’s degree in Applied Ethics for Professionals. Since then Uli has been involved in in professional ethics, in his firm, as a member of ethics committees both South African membership organisation and the South African regulator. Uli has presented on professional ethics throughout Southern Africa and advised several professional service firms on topics in ethic.

Uli moved to Ireland in 2016 and has been appointed to the Appeal Panel of CAI.
